How the historic Oxford museum "queered its collections" and changed the way it worked, forever.

Pitt Rivers Museum enlisted community curators with LGBTQ+ lived experiences on its Beyond the Binary exhibition, supported by the Heritage Fund.

It went on to be one of the most-visited exhibitions in the museum's history.

This project is a great example of the work we hope collecting organisations will be inspired by as part of our Dynamic Collections campaign.
