HLF and NHMF seeks new Chief Executive

HLF and NHMF seeks new Chief Executive

Recruitment is now underway for a new Chief Executive to succeed Carole Souter.

Carole announced in September that she will step down at the end of April 2016, by which time she will have led the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) and National Heritage Memorial Fund (NHMF) for 13 years.

The successful candidate will join at an important time, with the organisation developing a new strategic framework.  At a time when public funds for the heritage sector is under pressure, the impact of HLF and NHMF is more important than ever.

As the UK’s leading heritage funder, HLF aims to make a lasting difference for heritage, people and communities. Using money raised by National Lottery players, we fund projects ranging from historic buildings, museums and natural heritage to the heritage of cultural traditions and memories.  NHMF saves the most outstanding parts of our heritage at risk of loss to the nation, as a memorial to those who have given their lives to the UK.

Please note that the recruitment for the position of Chief Executive is now underway. Details can be found on Saxton Bampfylde’s website, who are managing the process.
