Shrewsbury is one of the best preserved county towns in the UK.
This project was designed to improve public benefit and access to key historic buildings in the town, and enhance spaces between buildings through selected environmental enhancements.
The Conservation Area Partnership Scheme involved structural repair and reinstatement work in two Conservation Areas in Shrewsbury, covering the centre and surrounding areas. Plans included environmental enhancement of the town centre traffic management, and improvement and repair of council-owned buildings.
