How do we support historic Places of Worship?
We provide grants from £10,000 to £10million to ensure that the heritage of churches, chapels, mandirs, mosques and more are protected and celebrated.
Places of worship are among the UK’s oldest and most cherished historic buildings. Thanks to National Lottery players, since 1994 we have awarded over £1bn to more than 8,200 places of worship projects across the UK.
Through our Heritage 2033 strategy, we’ve refreshed our approach to supporting historic places of worship, grounded in our research into the needs and challenges across the different areas and nations of the UK.
