Projects we’ve funded

Through new partnerships with diverse ethnic communities, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London (V&A) sought to encourage cultural ownership of its collections and develop heritage skills for people within and outside the museum.

EXPERIENCE TV was a project to redevelop over 900 square metres of gallery space in the National Media Museum, Bradford.

Monkwearmouth Station Museum is housed in a Grade II-listed building, under ownership of Sunderland City Council.

The Museum of London has one of the largest urban history collections in the world, and this project has helped re-design and re-furbish them for future audiences.

This project helped revitalise the Royal Museum, transforming the public use of the building, while remaining sensitive to its original Victorian architecture.

The probate records for the Church of England Diocese of Durham, deposited at Durham University Library, date from the mid-sixteenth century to 1858.

Stockwood Craft Museum was transformed into a community-oriented discovery centre.

Number 5, Vicar’s Hill is an 18th-century Grade A listed building, which was originally built to hold records for the cathedral and Armagh diocese.

The project focused on building an extension to Topsham Museum to house four historic local boats and providing access for the public.

The XARCH project was a follow-on from the National Lottery-funded Community Landscapes Project.

The National Coal Mining Museum for England (NCMME) led on this project to increase access to a unique coal mining collection and photographic archive.

The Llanymynech Limeworks Heritage Area has been conserved and restored, ensuring the public will be able to enjoy this historic site safely.
