Regeneration plans for Glasgow’s former East End Meat Market to become a thriving hub for community, sport and local business have been given a huge boost with the announcement of £2.3million of National Lottery support.

Situated at the top of the Mennock Pass the museum is a hub for information, equipment and permits for gold panning in the area.

Our support is helping ensure a balance is struck between supporting tourism and protecting this important community heritage.

Uist Wool Mill is now a vibrant hub of economic activity, skills development and a centre that celebrates the wool-producing heritage of the region.

Restoring Scotland’s stunning landscapes, threatened species and endangered habitats was central to this project in the Cairngorms National Park.

The project, part of an ambitious 40-year vision, restored parts of the rugged landscape in the far north-west of Scotland, including pathways, blanket bog and heath moor.

As two decades of archaeological investigation at the ancient Scottish site come to an end, our support will ensure more people than ever can share in its history.

This pilot project trained volunteers including young Roma people to record heritage and ran a Roma cultural heritage festival.
