Since 1994 we have awarded £2bn to more than 12,200 projects in the North.

The birthplace of the industrial revolution, the North of England is buzzing with thousands of years of history.

We're proud to support our communities to protect and celebrate the region’s irreplaceable heritage, from the cityscapes of Manchester to the stunning views of the Yorkshire Dales, the cultural history of Newcastle, through to the Lake District's natural beauty.

Take a look below at some of the projects we have funded.

If you have an idea for a project in the North of England, we would love to hear from you.
