Since then, he has been a trustee of Parks for London and Paintings in Hospitals and governor and trustee of The Lady Eleanor Holles School, as well as an independent member of the audit and risk committees at Valuation Office Agency, The National Archives, Department for International Trade, Marie Curie and Canal and River Trust.
Robert is currently a trustee of Twentieth Century Society, which campaigns for the preservation of architectural heritage and design from 1914 onwards, and a trustee and chair of Codebrave Foundation, a small charity which helps fund learning opportunities for vulnerable children in Lebanon.
Robert grew up and went to school in Warwickshire, then studied at Trinity College, Oxford, and has lived in South West London for the past 40 years. His interests include modern political history, travel, contemporary art, theatre, opera and walking.
