He oversees an active investment portfolio of more than £200million in Wales, supporting a broad range of heritage, from built heritage, museums and collections to culture, memory and the natural environment.
He joined the Heritage Fund in 2020 and supported numerous projects through the COVID-19 pandemic and the financial crisis. Andrew manages and advises the Committee for Wales on sound and transparent decision making as well as advising the UK Board as appropriate to Wales. Working with projects across the country has reinforced Andrew’s belief that Wales has an exceptionally rich heritage and a diverse range of passionate people working to preserve it for future generations.
Prior to joining the Heritage Fund, Andrew served as Director of Stonewall Cymru and prior to that as Head of Health and Voluntary Sector at the Welsh Language Board. He has served on the Third Sector Partnership Council, End Youth Homelessness Cymru, the Welsh Language Partnership Council and was Vice Chair of the 2024 National Eisteddfod. He is an Honorary Fellow of University of South Wales and a member of the Gorsedd of Bards.
