The Board
The Board of The National Heritage Memorial Fund and The National Lottery Heritage Fund consists of a chair and up to 14 trustees, appointed by the Prime Minister.
The Board:
- sets our strategic and policy framework
- determines our strategy and our annual business plan
- makes decisions on Memorial Fund grants, The National Lottery Heritage Fund grants over £5million and our UK-wide strategic campaigns

Committees
We have committees based in:
- Northern Ireland
- Scotland
- Wales
- England, North
- England, Midlands & East
- England, London & South
The committees make decisions on grants between £100,000 and up to £10m.

Future Heritage Leadership programme
Are you passionate about saving historic buildings, protecting the natural environment or preserving cultural traditions? We're looking for 12 people aged 18–30 who care about heritage to shadow our committees across the UK and play an active role in deciding where we invest our funding – no previous experience necessary.
