Project description: This is a two-year project aimed at strengthening the resilience of the Quilt Association, who own a collection of heritage quilts, through widening its reach via an expanded educational programme and networking.

Decision: Award grant of £90,990 (100%)

#LC Gower National Landscape Connections

Applicant: National Landscapes Association Ltd

Project description: This 18-month planning project will explore the pressures exerted on the Gower National Landscape by looking at current habitat conditions, to develop a plan for restoration. This is an application for the Landscape Connections programme.

Decision: Award grant of £245,000 (92%)

Learning from the Past: Giving to the Future

Applicant: Down to Earth Project

Project description: To deliver a range of educational, wellbeing-centred programmes and training courses in traditional and natural building and sustainable land management. They will be delivered to young people and adults from disadvantaged and vulnerable community groups in Neath Port Talbot, Swansea and Carmarthenshire.

Decision: Award grant of £124,188 (50%)

Project description: This twelve-month project centres on capturing memories of experience from National Service veterans in Mid and West Wales.

Project description: A three-year project that looks to document, preserve and celebrate Swansea’s working-class working and nightlife heritage from the 1970s to the present day.

Decision: Reject

Communities and carnivores of Welsh woodland

Applicant: The Vincent Wildlife Trust

Project description: To deliver a feasibility study for the re-introduction of wildcats into Wales, conduct a study of the field vole population and work with cat welfare charities to mitigate concerns relating to feral cats and their welfare.

Decision: Award grant of £26,722 (100%)

Project description: A 26-month project to catalogue, preserve and digitise the personal collections of Peter Hain and Paul Murphy and to increase accessibility for current and future generations.

St Mary's Church Windows sealing

Project description: To restore eight clerestory windows just below the oak ceiling of the Grade II listed church of St Mary’s in Burry Port.
