Project Description: A two-year project (September 2025 – August 2027) to connect people living within Gwynedd, Conwy and Ynys Mon with their heritage and capture the living history of these communities. The project is seeking to re-establish a digitally enhanced 'reminiscence' bike service with immersive Virtual Reality (VR) technologies, that will enable participants to use a fitness bike whilst wearing a VR headset to 'cycle' around local areas that are important to them and record memories. Alternative activities will engage people who are unable to use the bike.

Project Description: This is a one-year project (August 2025 – August 2026) to connect children with Additional Learning Needs and their families to local heritage.

Polish Heritage Penley: "Polska Penley, Preserving a Legacy"  Honouring, celebrating and preserving Polish heritage through an oral histories project in North Wales.

Applicant: The Rainbow Foundation, Wrexham

Project Description: This is a three-year project aimed at preserving the Polish heritage of Penley, in the county borough of Wrexham, to ensure it remains relevant and accessible to future generations.

Decision: Award Grant of £153,272 (97%)

Heritage in Your Hands

Applicant: Centre of Sign-Sight-Sound

Project Description: This is an 18-month project (January 2026 to June 2027) that looks to create accessible media and information for the sensory loss community at various heritage sites in North Wales.

Decision: Reject

Llysiau a Natur

Applicant: Down to Zero Ltd

Project Description: This is a proposed two-year project (September 2025 to September 2027) to build connections between communities and natural heritage at three sites in RCT; Pontyclun, Mountain Ash and Cwmbach (Aberdare) wetlands. The project will focus on three themes; engagement activities, development of heritage skills and sustainable food production.

Breathing Life into Death: The Redevelopment of The Egypt Centre

Applicant: Swansea University

Project Description: This is a six-month project which is part of the redevelopment of the House of Death gallery at the Egypt Centre, Swansea University. The wider project has the aim of creating an immersive ancient Egyptian experience for all visitors.

Applicant: Brecon and District Mind

Project Description: This is a proposed three-year project (September 2025 to August 2028) to encourage people to move from passive to active users of the countryside of Powys to develop a greater sense of connection to nature and the local landscape.

The refurbishment and preservation of Midwell

Applicant: Llantwit Major Town Council

Project Description: This is a five-month project from Llantwit Major Town Council aimed at repairing, restoring, and improving access to a Grade II listed well. Interpretation would be created for the site in partnership with the local history society.

Decision: Award Grant of £34,453 (94%)
