Applicant: North Wales Wildlife Trust
Project County: Isle of Anglesey
Project description: The project proposes to adopt a catchment landscape management approach using 30 Site Action Plans in partnership with landowners. It will address risks to the landscape caused by habitat fragmentation and degradation, water quality and the impacts of climate change. It seeks to bring together statutory and voluntary sector organisations in partnership to improve the health and quality of Anglesey Fens.
Decision: The Committee for Wales agreed the application represented a HIGH PRIORITY for support and AWARDED a development grant of £362,691 (52.44% of total costs) with a potential delivery grant of £2,480,270.
The Welsh Wildlife Centre; Safeguarding the future through Resilience and Inclusivity
Applicant: The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales Limited
Project County: Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire
Project description: The project would create all-inclusive facilities, upskilling staff and volunteers through equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) training and running outreach activities for local communities.
Decision: The Committee for Wales agreed the application represented a HIGH PRIORITY for support and AWARDED a development grant of £144,730 (90% of total costs) with a potential delivery grant of £2,276,161.
St Collen's Community Heritage and Visitor Experience 'Genesis' Project
Applicant: Llangollen Vicar and Churchwardens Parochial Church Council.
Project County: Denbighshire
Project description: The two-year project would undertake capital renovations to the Grade I listed St. Collen's church in Llangollen, Denbighshire. The project supported organisational resilience by improving the church's facilities to provide a more versatile, adaptable space for hospitality and community events, as well as a place of worship.
Decision: The Committee for Wales agreed the application represented a HIGH PRIORITY for support and AWARDED a development grant of £94,886 (84.37% of total costs) with a potential delivery grant of £464,886.
