Project summary: 15-month project to restore and repair St Samlets Church in Llansamlet and to run a wide range of activities.

Decision: Award grant £180,000 (23.34%)

 

Project Title: The Secret Garden

Applicant: Innovate Trust Ltd

Project summary: 18-month project in partnership with St Fagans Museum to reinstate the garden surrounding Ysgubor Fawr for the benefit of people with learning disabilities and the wider public.

Decision: Reject

 

Project Title: Revisiting Food Rationing

Applicant: CETMA Ltd

Project summary: research, taste and recreate rationing recipes created by the UK government during the Second World War, hold cookery demonstrations and workshops, and organise visits to Second World War museums/exhibitions.

Decision: Reject

 

Project Title: Ein Milltir Sgwâr - Our Square Mile

Applicant: Awel Aman Tawe

Project summary: work with community members to explore history, drawing on archives, memories and existing material. Capture and preserve this research through a creative process and integrate it into the fabric of the Hwb y Gors building.

Decision: Award Grant £59,400  (26.9%)

 

Project Title: Jamaica 60th Independence Diamond Jubilee Celebrations

Applicant: Urban Circle Newport

Project summary: two-day festival in Tredegar House, Newport to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Jamaica’s Independence and the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Project Title: Acquisition of Historic Railway Vehicles

Applicant: The North Wales Coast Light Railway Limited

Project summary: acquire and restore a locomotive and carriage.

Decision: Reject

 

Project Title: Bagillt Community Heritage Orchard

Applicant: Community Heart Productions

Project summary: develop a community heritage orchard of forty trees in Flintshire, showcasing Welsh heritage varieties of apples, pears and plums on an overgrown space owned by Bagillt Heritage Society.
 

Decision: Award grant £8,760 (100%)

 

Project Title: Restoration and Renovation of the Marquess of Anglesey’s Column and Cottage

Applicant: Anglesey Column Trust

Project summary: change in grant percentage to accommodate a project re-scope due to increased costs and difficulty in obtaining total match funding.

Decision: Agree change in grant percentage from 49% to 52%

 

Project Title: The Tywi Gateway at the Bishop's Park, Abergwili

Applicant: Tywi Gateway Trust

Project summary: grant increase due to cost increases and delays caused by COVID19 which have eroded reserves and depleted staffing budgets.

Decision: Award grant Increase of £85,000. Agree change in grant percentage from 62% to 63%.
