The project focused on restoring the Victorian All Saints Cemetery in Nunhead and opening it up to the public.

The cemetery was created by James Bunstone Bunning in 1840 and is recognised as one of the finest cemetery designs of the early Victorian period. It is listed Grade II in the English Heritage Register of Historic Parks and Gardens. The site also features the Grade II listed All Saints Chapel and two lodges.

The original landscape design of the cemetery had been obscured by secondary woodland, which had significant ecological interest. The project aimed to maintain and emphasise the contrast between the formal landscape and the woodland, and improve public access, interpretation and appreciation of the heritage.

Project plans included restoring the original Bunning layout of paths in the cemetery, conserving the woodland and increasing the variety of habitat types to create a more diverse woodland. Plans also included stabilising the Chapel, a picturesque ruin, and saving it from deterioration.
