The Nature and Me project aimed to create new education and participation opportunities focused on biodiversity and the natural world.

The project’s focus was Manchester Museum's natural history collections. This includes major zoological, entomological and botanic collections with examples of extinct, endangered and rare species.

Nature and Me was designed to complement the new ‘Living Planet’ gallery. It involved 50 members of the public creatively interpreting the museum’s natural history collections and actively contributing new content for the Living Planet gallery.

The museum recruited and worked with up to 50 community interpreters to work with the museum’s collections and develop scripts and ideas for a series of ‘talking heads’ films, which would be available to view at the museum and online.
