Lynn Turner is Director of Kielder Water and Forest Park Development Trust, where she is responsible for delivering the Trust’s vision for the Park to become the destination of choice for the discovery of the UK’s forests, lakes and skies.

Until 2014 she was the lead officer at Northumberland County Council for a range of different services which contribute to Northumberland’s tourism, leisure and cultural offer and prior to this was Director of Tourism, Culture and Communications at Tynedale Council.

Having lived and worked in the North East for more than 25 years, Lynn is passionate about the difference that culture and heritage can make to the quality of life and wellbeing of residents of and visitors to the region. She also has a strong appreciation of the contribution that the region's heritage and cultural assets can make to local economy and to raising the profile of the North East nationally and internationally.

She is a member of the Northumberland Career College Advisory Board and Vice-Chair of the Forum Cinema Hexham.
