North West Committee opportunities
The search is on for champions to take a leading role in protecting the heritage of the North West, with opportunities for the right people to make a significant difference as members of the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) North West Committee.
HLF is looking for the next generation of people who will take the decisions to award funding. You could be part of the exciting work of bringing projects to life, and have a say in shaping the future of the North West's heritage.
We fund an incredible range of projects from our great museums and historic buildings to local parks and wildlife. Our goal is to reflect the vibrancy of the many different communities that have shaped the North West's heritage.
The Committee makes decisions on grants between £100,000 and £2million. It provides a crucial regional perspective to the Board on larger grants, on the funding priorities for the North West and maintains an oversight of the small grants decisions. Members meet people involved in heritage projects, represent HLF at openings and events and act as an advocate for the value of heritage to modern life.
We are seeking to appoint three new committee members. We welcome interest from people with a range of backgrounds and experiences who can demonstrate an affinity with the North West's diverse and exciting heritage. Applications from black, Asian and minority ethnic communities, people with disabilities and individuals across all age groups are particularly welcome.
To apply please visit our Vacancies page. Applications are open until 18 March 2013.
Please contact Sara Hilton, Head of HLF North West, to find out how we operate in the region and about the role of a Committee member, via email shilton@hlf.org.uk or phone 0161 200 8470.
