Headstone Manor and Museum celebrates its opening with a festive Frost Fayre

A £3.6million National Lottery investment plus £1.1m from Harrow Council has given the site, which dates back to 825AD and was once owned by Henry VIII, a new lease of life. The Grade I listed Manor House and 16th-century Great Barn and grounds have been transformed into a museum with a dedicated learning centre and the content has been developed thanks to a group of committed volunteers and members from the local community.
Its collections include items from the Kodak factory and Whitefriar’s glass factory and archaeological finds from the Roman period.

Headstone Manor Museum is looking wonderful and will provide an important resource for the people of Harrow. As we embark on the season of giving, it’s great National Lottery players have gifted their support to such a community-spirited project; we hope that many of them will come along to enjoy all that this new and innovative local museum has to offer.”
