Helpston Parochial Church Council used this grant to restore and convert the Grade II listed Botolph’s Barn into a community facility and exhibition space celebrating the 19th century poet John Clare.

The Ware Museum has been extended and refurbished, to allow visitors more space to explore its collections and learn about the history of Ware and the surrounding area.

Primary schools explored the customs and traditional stories of the Fens and shared their learning through art, performance, music, exhibitions and publications.

This project facilitated the acquisition and conservation of the Grade II*-listed Priory House in Dunstable.

The acquisition of Abbots Hall Farm showed a new approach to managing the coastline in the face of climate change and rising sea levels, while also benefiting nature and people.

The wildfowl reserve at Welney was set up in 1969, and is one of two sites managed by Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT) that is purely devoted to wild birds.

This ambitious restoration project helped return the Theatre Royal in Bury St Edmunds to its original glory.
