Accessibility statement for Heritage Emergency Fund application form
This accessibility statement applies to the application form for the Heritage Emergency Fund from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
This website is run by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:
- navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
- listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)
- We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.
How accessible this website is

Navigation and accessing information
There’s no way to skip the repeated content in the page header (for example, a ‘skip to main content’ option).
Multiple questions are announced as buttons by screen reader technology but cannot be interacted with.
On all pages there is text which is styled visually as a heading, but is not in the heading structure.
This form is built and hosted through third party software and ‘skinned’ to look like our website.
We’ve assessed the cost of fixing the issues with navigation and heading structure. We believe that doing so now would be a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations. We will make another assessment in October 2020.
