Who can apply
You can apply for a grant of between £250,000 and £5m if you are a:
- not-for-profit organisation
- partnership led by a not-for-profit organisation

We will review your Expression of Interest and tell you whether or not we’ll invite you to submit a development phase application.
When to apply
For grants between £250,000 and £5m, application deadlines are set in advance to clarify when funding decisions will be made.
If you are invited to submit a development phase application, please submit it through our online application portal by:
- 28 May 2019 to receive a decision by the end of September 2019
- 20 August 2019 to receive a decision by the end of November 2019
- 19 November 2019 to receive a decision by the end of March 2020
Please make sure that the start date of your project is a date later than the date of the decision.
For example, if you want a funding decision to be made by the end of September 2019, you will have to submit your full application through our online application portal no later than 28 May 2019. Your project must have a start date of no sooner than 1 October 2019 to be considered for this round.
What happens after you apply
After you submit a development phase application, we will assess it within 12 weeks. Then, following assessment, it will be assigned to a quarterly decision meeting.
What you need to contribute financially
You must contribute at least 5% of your project costs for grants up to £1m and at least 10% for grants of £1m or more.
