Stuart Hobley, Head of HLF London
Stuart Hobley is the new Head of the HLF London team. Here he tells us a bit about himself and why he loves London's heritage.

Hello London. I'm writing to introduce myself as the new Head of HLF for the London team.

London is such a remarkable and vibrant city, with heritage around every corner; London is also the greenest city in Europe and the variety of heritage and culture is celebrated by Londoners and visitors from far and wide. I'm really excited to be part of that!

So, a little about me. I've previously worked for HLF in our East of England office, supporting applicants of all shapes and sizes to make applications. I've worked in both the local authority and charitable sectors; I'm also a Trustee of a museum, one with a big story to share!

There are so many extraordinary projects in the city, from the origins of Savile Row, to Jimi Hendrix living at Handel's House - one postcode, two musical legends! And remember if you have an idea for scheme, you can complete a project enquiry and get feedback from us before you apply, take a look on our 'Do you have an idea in mind' page. Whether you want to celebrate community traditions, or restore important green space, we can help you understand the next steps to take.

You can also follow @HLFLondon on Twitter and stay up-to-date with all our news and features.

I'm really looking forward to all the new projects coming forward and I'm sure I'll meet many of you soon.

Stuart
