Future Heritage Leader for Wales
Maia is from Rhondda Cynon Taf and holds a BA (hons) in History from the University of Warwick and a MA in History from Cardiff University.
She is interested in cultural history, gender studies, black history and memory studies. She is particularly interested in black Welsh history and the historic sailortown communities of south Wales. She volunteers for the Awen Cultural Trust and Amgueddfa Cymru. She is passionate about amplifying the histories of under-served and under-studied communities.
