The Bogside-the Crucible of the peace process phase two 

Applicant: Gasyard Development Trust 

Project description: second phase of funding towards the development of a museum in the Gasyard Centre. The museum will include exhibits that chronicle the conflict and peace process between 1972 and 2007, leading to the Good Friday Agreement. It will also chronicle subsequent power sharing between unionists and nationalists/republicans, with a focus on local figures Martin McGuinness, John Hume and Mitchel McLaughlin. 

Decision: Award grant of £249,977 (100% of total project costs)

Applicant: Belfast History Project 

Project description: in partnership with Bridge of Hope, the project will deliver talks and tours on Northern Ireland’s heritage, particularly that of North Belfast. It will support their health and wellbeing of socially vulnerable people and

Decision: Award grant of £28,200 (90% of total project costs) 

Museum at Whitespots 

Applicant: The Somme Association 

Project description: plan for a  re-development of the Somme Museum, turning it into a place where visitors can explore Ireland's shared history. 

Decision: Award grant of £62,000 (100% of total project costs)
