Applicant: The Rachel Kay-Shuttleworth Textile Collections

Project Description: This 18 month project will: improve public access to the Rachel Kay-Shuttleworth textile collection, help the organisation to become more resilient, and support their ambition to secure a long-term future for the collection.

Decision: Award grant of £249,541 (100% of total costs)

Heritage Centre Stage: Activity Programme for the Alhambra Theatre & St Georges Hall

Applicant: Bradford Metropolitan District Council

Project Description: This three year project will develop and deliver an extensive heritage activity programme for the Alhambra Theatre and St George’s Hall in Bradford.

Decision: Award grant of £185,912 (92.53% of total costs)

Project Description: This 26 month project will engage the local community with heritage to present co-curated exhibitions at the Community Gallery at Keswick Museum.

Sound It Out – engaging young people with sound archives

Applicant: Manchester City of Literature

Project Description: Working in partnership with Unlocking Our Sound Heritage, Manchester City of Literature will reconnect public interest in sound archives. This will be through targeted activities with young people from under-served communities.

Project Description: This 27 month digital collection and engagement project will collect, record, share and engage people in the stories, images and memories of Manchester Town Hall.

Project Description: This 18 month project aims to create new public exhibitions galleries, engagement spaces and collections storage for The Peace Museum. It will be relocating to Salts Mill in early 2023.

Project Description: This sixteen month social history project aims to induce memories from older people with dementia using artefacts, stories and music.

Sheffield Treasure: Celebrating 200 Years of Excellence in Cutlery Making

Applicant: Ken Hawley Collection Trust

Project Description: This 23 month project will utilise the significance of the 'Millennium knife', also known as Yearknife, to engage a wider audience with Sheffield's industrial heritage.

Decision: Award Grant of £44,192 (100% of total costs)

Leeds Partnership Parks – Everyday Greenspace for Everyone

Applicant: Love Leeds Parks

Project Description: This three year project will undertake activity within six community parks across Leeds. It will provide a range of opportunities for people to better connect with the greenspace heritage in their own local area.

Decision: Award Grant of £249,995 (81.71% of total costs)

Wor Seahorse Spectacle

Applicant: Moving Parts Arts CIO

Project Description: This eight month project seeks to engage 120 people in the exploration of Newcastle's historic link with the symbolism of the seahorse. It will culminate in the creation of a large seahorse puppet and performance at Newcastle's fourth Puppetry Festival.

Decision: Award Grant of £10,000 (35.71% of total costs)

Bolton Radicals

Applicant: THE BOX.TV (BOLTON) COMMUNITY INTEREST COMPANY

Project Description: This 10 month project (August 2022 – June 2023) will film interviews with local people who have contributed to social movements in the past 70 years. This includes women's liberation, environmental campaigns, and LGBTQ+ rights, culminating in a final film.

Project Description: Developed from online sessions during lockdown, this project aims to improve Hull residents’ wellbeing by sharing boxing heritage in a year-long programme of reminiscence sessions.
