Projects we’ve funded

This project helped to transform the iconic A-listed building of the Glasgow School of Art, which is internationally recognised as Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s masterpiece.

Through a combination of funding from Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) and Worcestershire County Council, Bromsgrove District Council is enabling a range of repairs and conservation works to regain Bromsgrove's historic character.

The millstones and machinery of a Grade II listed watermill were restored to full working order enabling a dedicated team of volunteers to share the story of milling with visitors.

This project facilitated the acquisition and conservation of the Grade II*-listed Priory House in Dunstable.

Our grant provided for building conservation, with an endowment to support the estate in opening the house and grounds to a wider audience, and providing learning activities.

Helpston Parochial Church Council used this grant to restore and convert the Grade II listed Botolph’s Barn into a community facility and exhibition space celebrating the 19th century poet John Clare.

A volunteer-run charity acquired Grade II* listed Richmond Station in North Yorkshire and transformed it into a self-sustaining heritage and leisure attraction for the local community.

This project helped revitalise the Royal Museum, transforming the public use of the building, while remaining sensitive to its original Victorian architecture.

The Tithe Barn, part of St Mary’s Priory Abergavenny, has been preserved and stabilised, ensuring future visitors can enjoy and learn about its history.

Number 5, Vicar’s Hill is an 18th-century Grade A listed building, which was originally built to hold records for the cathedral and Armagh diocese.

The Heritage Building Preservation Trust bought the B listed Miners Institute from Fife Council in order to restore it and guarantee its long-term future.

Eden Court Theatre led on this project to repair and conserve the historic fabric of the Bishop’s Palace in Inverness, Scotland.
