Snailbeach Lead Mine is one of a series of mines that make up South Shropshire Orefield.

The Lilleshall Project secured public ownership of, and transformed access to, the records of the Lilleshall estate, one of the most important of Shropshire’s estate collections.

The Grade II* listed Staunton Country Park is on the English Heritage Register of Historic Parks and Gardens. The park is the remnant of the estate of Sir George Staunton, and has been in public ownership since 1944.

Big Pit Mining Museum, with its underground workings, buildings, machinery and extensive collections, is the best surviving example of the mining industry in Wales.
