Isabel originally trained as a surveyor with Jones Lang LaSalle, working in urban regeneration. She then moved into senior marketing and business development roles at Royal Mail Group, where she was also commercial director on the International Board.
She joined the civil service as an executive director on the Board of the Passport Office and she has also worked at the Home Office and Cabinet Office as strategy director. She held executive roles at both the University of Leeds and NHS Digital and is based from The National Lottery Heritage Fund’s office in Leeds.
Isabel has a particular interest in digital technologies, innovation and transformation, in sustainability and in accessibility, diversity and inclusion. At NHS Digital she was the executive lead on diversity and was a member of the national NHS Equality and Diversity Council.
She has worked as a volunteer trustee of Age UK, was a board member of the Leeds-based Thackray Museum for six years and is currently a trustee on the national RNIB Board.
Isabel has degrees from the universities of Birmingham and Reading, a Cranfield MBA and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
