Young people from across Nuneaton and Bedworth worked with the local charity, Mercurial Arts, the Borough Council and English Heritage, to create their own unique listing system and identify and record the buildings and sites important to them.
Through newly developed research skills, the young people gathered information and created an interactive website, highlighting the history of places and sites. Local people were then invited to share memories of their favourites.
An empty shop and the local museum became venues to exhibit their findings, celebrating the town’s heritage with a wide range of people through these accessible sites.
