HLF website retains high accessibility standards

The HLF website gained full accreditation from Shaw Trust back in 2011, but the hard work didn’t stop there. With the ever-changing online environment we have been committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience.

Shaw Trust recently undertook a new technical assessment of the website, with automated tools and through manual testing, and we are proud to say that we continue to conform to level AA – as evaluated against the industry-standard W3 Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0.

The Heritage Lottery Fund website continues to provide:

  • Skip navigation links
  • Logical and consistent navigation
  • Relative text resizing
  • Alternative text for all images
  • Text transcripts for audio and video content

For a full outline of how this website can be adapted to suit your needs and for further information about this accreditation, please read our accessibility statement.
