Digital Hearts Heritage

Applicant: Heart of Midlothian Football Club -Heritage

Project description: This project will engage volunteers and the local community in creating and using digital resources to explore the heritage of Heart of Midlothian Football Club.

Loch Of Larg Curling Pond Development

Applicant: New Luce Community Trust

Project description: The project aims to work with the local community to deliver improvements to anold curling pond and wetland area, and provide safe access. Project costs relate to repair and conservation work and community participation.

Decision: Approve Grant of £57,500 (100%)

Project description: This project is to complete essential repairs to access routes within and linked to Alexander Scott's Hospital and Eventide Home in Huntly, Aberdeenshire.

Project description: This 9 month project delivered by Wonder Fool aims to record and engage with experience of the 2001 foot and mouth crisis within the community of Dumfries and Galloway.

Decision: Award Grant of £9,300 (78%)

Supporting Health and Wellbeing whilst caring for, learning from and sharing our Gifford Woods

Applicant: Gifford Community Land Company

Project description: This three-year project focusses on Gifford Woods in East Lothian. It will run 180 outdoor events within the woodland to engage around 3,000 people from the local community with its local natural heritage

Decision: Award Grant of £75,200 (58%)

Wildlife Trail to Loch Lomond

Applicant: RSPB Scotland

Project description: This project will provide greater access to Loch Lomond from the RSPB nature reserve with the construction of a pathway to the waterfront. RSPB will also target young people with ranging needs for engagement in nature activities and skills development.

Project description: This project will create ‘Your Scottish Archive’, an online resource which shares catalogue descriptions from archives across Scotland from a range of sources.

Preserving & showcasing the stories of Nigerian Civil War

Applicant: Hope Amplified

Project description: The project will research and record the history of the Nigerian Civil War with young people from the Nigerian community in Glasgow. Participants will receive training to record oral histories and outputs include a book, film, and a community exhibition.

Discovering the Early Medieval Church and Monastery on Lismore

Project description: This archaeology project is the next stage of a community-led project to interpret the heritage of Lismore from the Bronze Age to the Medieval period. It aims to investigate the early church heritage of the island by excavating the cemetery and associated structures at Lismore Parish Church.
