Applicant: Inspiring Yarns CIC 

Project description: Project to run a series of workshops based on traditional needle crafts aimed at helping participants improve their mental health. 

Decision: Award Grant £10,000 (100%) 

 

The Glens Storytelling Festival 

Applicant: Armstrong Storytelling Trust 

Project description: Project to increase participation in the Glens of Antrim storytelling and traditional music festival, targeting people who have been isolated throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and those with physical or mental disabilities. 

Decision: Award Grant £9,985 (100%) 

 

St Macartans Bellcote Restoration 

Applicant: Clogher Parish 

Project description: Project to carry out capital/repair works to the Bellcote and Bell, repoint the west wing of the church and deliver a programme of activities and interpretation. 

Decision: Reject 

 

Heritage Venues Animation (HVG) Achieving Organization Resilience & Delivering Collaborative Programme Excellence 

Applicant: Derry City & Strabane District 

Project description: Project to recruit a mentoring team to work with approximately nine diverse heritage venues in the area. The aim is to boost organisation resilience, particularly in the wake of COVID-19. 

Decision: Reject 

 

The Peoples Archive - Father Des Wilson 

Applicant: Springhill Community House 

Project description: Project to catalogue and make accessible the archive created by Fr Des Wilson, who passed away in 2019. He is referred to in the area as ‘The Peoples Priest’ as he made a significant contribution to peace-making and the local community. This will help people in the Ballymurphy area to access their stories throughout the years of the conflict and beyond. 

Decision: Award Grant £47,715 (100%)

Project description: An 18-month oral history project documenting the contribution made by the British Red Cross Society volunteers to NI Society.

Project description: Project to run a 3-phase intergenerational programme of activities looking at the heritage of Dance Hall culture in the region.
