Since the age of 17, Jamie has been a volunteer with the Llyn Maritime museum in North West Wales, later becoming a committee member and trustee. He helped to reopen the museum in 2014.
In addition he is a committee member of MOROL (the Institute of Welsh Maritime Historical Studies).
Between 2016-2018 he was a teaching fellow in cultural heritage at the Ironbridge International Institute for Cultural Heritage, University of Birmingham.
Jamie holds an Archaeology BA, an International Cultural Heritage Management Masters from Durham University and Doctorate from the Ironbridge Institute on Education at World Heritage Sites.
