The Swansea Chinese Community Co-op Centre led a 12-month project to explore the experiences of Chinese immigrants in Swansea and surrounding areas.

The group worked alongside Swansea University, with support from the West Glamorgan Archive Service, to conduct research and locate records and documents.

The group also interviewed 10 older Chinese immigrants and hosted a series of IT workshops for the project team. Workshop sessions included: filming, voice-recording, clip editing, subtitle making, producing DVDs, historical research and digital storytelling.

A DVD was produced containing a summary of the findings and 10 digital stories from this first generation of Chinese immigrants. The group hosted a launch event at the end of the project, and the digital stories were also made available online on the Swansea Chinese Community Co-op Centre website.
