  1. The Heritage Emergency Fund

    Overview

    A package of support for the heritage sector as a response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis.

    The Heritage Emergency Fund is accepting applications for two grant levels during this difficult time: £3,000-£50,000 and £50,000-£250,000

    The application criteria and priorities are different for each level of funding.

    • UK-wide
    • Open for applications until 12 noon 31 July 2020

    Suitable for

    • not-for-profit organisations 
    • current or previous recipients of a grant directly from us
    • owners, managers or representatives of heritage 
  1. Local Places for Nature

    Overview

    Local Places for Nature is a capital grant scheme intended to enable communities in Wales to restore and enhance nature. The programme is jointly funded by the Welsh Government and The National Lottery Heritage Fund. 

    We are offering grants of £10,000–£50,000 for capital projects in Wales that will acquire, restore and enhance nature. 

    The grant programme may close early if all money is allocated before the closing date.

    • Wales only
    • Open for applications until 14 October 2020
    • Projects must be delivered by 31 March 2021
  1. Community Woodlands

    Overview

    Community Woodlands is a capital grant scheme intended to restore, create, connect and manage woodlands in Wales. The programme is jointly funded by the Welsh Government and The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

    We are offering grants of £10,000–£250,000 for capital projects that will restore, enhance and in some instances acquire land to create new community woodlands in Wales. 

    The grant programme may close early if all money is allocated before the closing date. 

    • Wales only 
    • Open for applications until 21 October 2020 
    • Projects must be delivered by March 2022

  1. Heritage Horizon Awards

    Important

    Heritage Horizon Awards are currently closed to new applications until 2022.

    Overview

    The concept behind the Heritage Horizon Awards is: "Backing big ideas, unlocking possibilities". 

    This means, we expect all projects to be: 

    • transformative 
    • innovative 
    • collaborative 

    Our strategic priorities are: 

    • landscapes and nature 
    • heritage at risk 

    The minimum amount of grant is £5million. There is no upper limit.
