Applicant: Foundation for Jewish Heritage
Project summary: develop proposals to repair and restore a Grade II listed synagogue in Merthyr Tydfil. To establish an educational, nationally-focused Welsh Jewish Heritage Centre within the building representing the national story of Welsh-Jewish people.
Decision: Award development grant request of £398,135 (70.95% of total costs) with a potential delivery grant of £2,999,332.
Project Title: A Museum of Two Halves.
Applicant: Wrexham County Borough Council
Project summary: develop proposals to refurbish the Grade II Wrexham Museum building to a part local history museum and part nationally-styled football museum. Improve facilities and fit out a new off-site collections store. Develop a programme of locally and nationally focused activities.
Decision: Award development grant request of £45,000 (12.02% of total costs) with a potential delivery grant of £2,078,873
Project Title: Broneirion Walled Garden
Applicant: Mid Wales Food and Land Trust Ltd
Project summary: develop proposals to restore the Victorian Broneirion Walled Gardens and the adjacent buildings of Broneirion estate. Creation of a community garden and market garden enterprise to provide formal and non-formal education opportunities, and support community wellbeing and mental health.
