Uncovering the Lost History of Northycote Farm

Project description: To increase knowledge of the 17th century site by finding and recording any remains of buildings in the paddock area and its surrounding landscape. The project will use non-invasive archaeological techniques, such as geophysics, and encourage under-served members of the wider community to get involved with the heritage of the site.

Project description: To investigate, protect, and promote the heritage features which surround Wellow village – located in Nottinghamshire, nine miles east of Mansfield.

Xu Zhimo in England

Applicant: Mun-Kit Choy

Project description: To carry out academic research, as part of a production of publications, on Chinese romantic poet Xu Zhimo. The research would focus on the influence of his study visits to King's College Cambridge in 1921–1922 on his writing. As well as the connections that were developed between English and Chinese culture as a result. Xu's poem - Saying Goodbye to Cambridge Again – is well-known in China.
